Travel via Pisa Centrale

 

Travel to Firenze via Pisa, although somewhat longer in duration, is less expensive and less likely to be crowded. The Pisa station is smaller (not unlike Civitavecchia) and is quicker and easier to get from platform to platform (although stairs will be encountered.) There are very few services available within the terminal building.

Travel via Roma Termini

 

Travel to Firenze via Roma Termini is shorter in duration, more expensive and more likely to be crowded. Roma Termini is very large with some tracks/platforms a good distance from the terminal building itself. Stairs are very unlikely to be encountered. There are many services to be found within the terminal building. Eurostar trains require reservations (advance purchase is generally required.)
