Travel between London and Harwich is provided by the National Railways System. There are no train changes between London and Harwich.

Departure: London's Liverpool Street station (LST)

Arrival: Harwich International (HPQ)

Trains depart hourly at 18 minutes past the hour. Arrival at Harwich is 43 minutes past the hour (plus one hour). Elapsed time is 1hr 25 min.

Fares to Harwich International are priced from £26.20 (2cl) and £41.90 per person. Prices vary depending upon the time of day (shown are midday.)

 Arrival: London's Liverpool Street station (LST)

Trains depart hourly at 10 minutes past the hour. Arrival at Liverpool Street is 47 minutes past the hour (plus one hour). Elapsed time is 1hr 27 min.

Fares from Harwich International are priced from £28.00 (2cl) and £47.50 per person. Prices vary depending upon the time of day (shown are morning.)

Harwich International  train station is located across the street from the cruise terminal building. There is an overhead, covered walkway connecting the two buildings.

Harwich Town

Harwich Town is two stations (10 minutes) beyond Harwich International. Devoncourt is one station beyond Harwich International. Fares to either are the same. If you are planning to stay in Harwich Town or Devoncourt pre-cruise, you can purchase a PlusBus ticket for £1.60 per person per day. This gives you unlimited use of the public transportation in the area.

Train ticket from Devoncourt or Harwich Town to Harwich International is £1.80 per person. Travel time is 5-10 minutes.

National Railways Journey Planner only goes ahead about 4 months. Therefore, schedules for June 2010 will not be available until about mid-February, 2010.

A Special Cruise Train was added by National Railways in 2009. It is cruise passenger only and goes directly to Harwich International. It is about 10 minutes faster than the regular trains. Since it is for cruise passengers only, everybody on that train will be crossing the footbridge to the cruise terminal about the same time.
