Civitavecchia is a two day visit.
Day 1, Pre-Cruise Day 1: Civitavecchia & Tarquinia
Day 2, Cruise Day 1: Civitavecchia & Cruise Day
Since we both had been to Roma many, many times, we opted to spend a night in Civitavecchia. This
was, in part, due to a posting on Cruise Critic (by Mountainmare) about the town of Tarquinia and its Etruscan history. It seemed like a fun outing for
an afternoon. In the photo below you can see some significant landmarks: |

Our hotel, the Hotel Miramare, is just out of this picture. On the water, just below the red roofed building to the right of the train station.
