Trenitalia Station - Civitavecchia

The photos on this page were taken on Sunday, Oct 5, starting about 07:45. There were 5 cruise ships in port; all returning from a cruise.

The lines that you see present a pretty good argument for purchasng your return tickets prior to your departure on the cruise.

The people on the right side of the first two photos are attempting to get into the station to buy tickets. The people on the left (tracks 2-3) are waiting for the train to Rome. The first two photos were taken at 07:47 and 07:48. In contrast, the third photo was taken at 08:20 on Oct 18th.

In these photos make note ot the people on the right side (under roof overhang - near taxi and McDonalds signs.) They are lined up to get inside the station to buy tickets. On Oct 18th we self-disembarked and purchased our tickets at the station at 07:05 (no line.)

Heading for the train station

Taken from right in front of the station, these photos show folks heading for the train station. Take note of the size of some of the suitcases.

The Sottopassagio

Arriving or departing, there is a very high probability that you will be given the opportunity to use one of these. Perhaps the new elevators will be a reality for your next visit.
